Answers to common questions about renting a vehicle in Nepal
Can I rent a vehicle with a driver?
Yes. Every car, jeep, Scorpio and EV SUV in our fleet can be booked with an experienced, licensed local driver who knows the roads, from Kathmandu Valley traffic to mountain highways. On overnight trips, the driver's meals and accommodation are either arranged by you or added to your quote.
What documents do I need for a self-drive rental?
A valid driving licence for the vehicle category (a Nepali licence, or an International Driving Permit with your home licence) and your citizenship certificate or passport. We take a refundable security deposit at pickup and return it once the vehicle is checked back in.
Which vehicle should I choose for trips outside Kathmandu?
For highway trips to Pokhara, Chitwan or Lumbini, a car or EV SUV is comfortable and economical. For hill roads and rough routes such as Mustang, Rara or Ilam, choose a jeep or Scorpio for the extra ground clearance, and we recommend booking it with a driver.
Do you offer pickup and drop at Tribhuvan International Airport?
Yes. We can meet you at TIA arrivals with your vehicle and driver, or drop you off in time for your departure. Share your flight number when you book so we can adjust the pickup if your flight is delayed.
How do fuel and EV charging work?
Self-drive vehicles are handed over with a full tank or full charge and should come back the same way; otherwise the difference is added to your bill. On trips with a driver, fuel is either included in the quote or paid as you go, and we confirm which when you book.
Can I book a vehicle for a wedding or a religious tour?
Yes. We provide decorated cars for weddings and comfortable vehicles with drivers for pilgrimages to places like Pashupatinath, Manakamana, Muktinath, Lumbini and Janakpur. Book early for the wedding season and for Dashain and Tihar, when demand is highest.
What if I need to extend or cancel my booking?
Let us know as early as you can. Extensions depend on the vehicle being available and are charged at the same daily rate. Cancellations made well before pickup are refunded in full; late cancellations may carry a charge, which we explain when you book.
